BANGALORE, September 4: Bangalore IT.COM, announced the launch of its
official Web site, accessible at http://www.blrit.com.
The Web site contains a host of features and information aimed at the
needs of both business exhibitors and visitors to the show. While
fulfilling the business visitor’s needs by facilitating the booking and
registration process online, it also provides the visitor with information
on the theme pavilions, stalls, partner organizations and countries, and
provides a display of the area that is available for booking.
Designed and hosted by Cyber India Online, the Web site is divided into
three sections - the exhibition, the IT industry in Bangalore and
Bangalore city. Government of Karnataka IT Secretary Sanjoy Das Gupta
said, "People are no longer satisfied with volumes of static
information, and want to quickly locate the right information and act on
it. This was the underlying thought behind the creation of this site. It
aims at anticipating a visitor’s needs and providing comprehensive
information on Bangalore IT.COM."
As part of the exhibition’s focus on generating business
opportunities, the section in the Web site titled 'IT in Karnataka’
lists the various incentives offered to the Information Technology
industry by the Karnataka Government and includes the entire IT policy of
the Karnataka Government.
The Bangalore section contains detailed information on the city for the
business traveler and exhibitor, including details like hotel
accommodation, restaurants, tips for the first time traveler and sight
seeing opportunities in and around Bangalore.
