Bangalore to host NASSCOM conclave

BANGALORE, INDIA: India's IT body NASSCOM has announced that NASSCOM Product Conclave 09 will be held in Bangalore from October 27 to 28, 2009 in its third successful year.

The Conclave, which would bring together global industry CEOs, trailblazers in the software products space, thought gurus, analysts and the media, would address the theme, "Positioning to Win." This theme will run as a thread through the numerous sessions, panel discussions, workshops, power elevator pitch deliberations, match-making sessions, the business expo and keynotes, said NASSCOM website.

The event is expected to render a platform for Indian product companies and startups, MNC product companies, CIO’s, SaaS / PaaS players, Outsourced product development companies, System Integrators, Services companies with product aspirations, Investment community – VCs, PE, Angels and seed funds, Incubators and Academic Institute.

Participating companies would be able to demonstrate their product, network, share with peers, and learn how to identify market opportunities, build a product organization with domain expertise, roll out a product, build brands, reach out to prospects and customers, create a network effect of channels, user and development communities – and in short how to build a viable and scalable business model, said the website.

The Product Conclave will address all the aspects of “Positioning to Win” in detail during two days of thought-provoking sessions and keynotes by Global Industry gurus and trailblazers, panel discussions, workshops, business expo, power elevator pitch sessions , match making and more

The major speakers of the event include Kiran Karnik, former NASSCOM president and one of three boards members as well as chairman of Satyam Computer Services; Guy Kawasaki, managing director of Garage Technology Ventures; Naeem Zafar from Haas School of Business, University of California; Ajay.K.Dhir, chief information officer, Jindal Steel Limited; Ashish Gupta, MD – investment advisor, Helion Venture Capital and many others.
