Bangalore to host India's first technical communication conference

BANGALORE: The India chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) is holding its first ever Technical Communication Conference at Bangalore on December 3 and 4 at Hotel Le Meridien. The theme is "Technical Communication in the Next Millennium." Over 100 technical writers and others from all over the country are expected to participate.



STC is a US-based society whose members include writers, editors, illustrators, printers, publishers, educators, students, engineers and scientists employed in a variety of technological fields.



Infosys managing director and president Nandan M. Nilekani will inaugurate the conference. The keynote speaker is Texas Instruments (USA) head of documentation Kathlyn Auten. Speakers from USA and Singapore will also be participating. An exhibition of software tools and publications relevant to technical communication is also planned.
