The term of the multiple-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract is a five-year base period with a two-year option period. The contract award may expand the JV's position in the Enterprise-Wide Information Technology market. Baker-Sabre received a prime contract award in the Unrestricted Track of Functional Category 1 (FC1) - Service Delivery. The purpose of FC1 is to provide a full range of services and products in support of developing, implementing and maintaining technology to support DHS' mission and business functions across the entire lifecycle of a program.

Under EAGLE II, Baker-Sabre may offer a wide range of solutions and services for the various components of DHS. These solutions include system design, development, implementation and integration; software design and development; and operations and maintenance solutions, processes and procedures, adds the announcement.

Baker's David Greenwood, P.E., D.WRE, vice president, Federal, U.S. Department of Homeland Security market lead, said, "This new work under DHS' EAGLE II contract compliments our robust Infrastructure & Engineering solutions, builds on our longstanding relationship with Sabre Systems, Inc., and expands our services across DHS."

Baker President and Chief Executive Officer Kurt Bergman, added, "Securing national interests at home or abroad is a key tenant of Baker International, and this contract allows us to demonstrate the broad range of capabilities we bring to DHS. Since the formation of DHS, we have been privileged to support the agency's mission-critical programs and we look forward to continuing our strong commitment."
