Bajaj Tempo launches India’s first e-automotive store

MUMBAI: The Pune-based Bajaj Tempo has launched India’s first e-automotive

store to facilitate Dealer Relationship Management on mySAP.com. A

Business-to-Business application, the Dealer Integration Kiosk allows Bajaj

Tempo’s partners to transact business online. "The Dealer Integration

Kiosk will empower all our dealers, who are our interface with our customers,

irrespective of their location, to access real-time information on product

requirements and maximise the efficiencies of their sales cycle," said

Abhay Firodia, Chairman and Managing Director, Bajaj Tempo.

Bajaj Tempo, which has a network of 250 dealers spread across the country,

accounts for 5,600 vehicle purchase order transactions and 15,000 spare part

purchase order transactions a year. "Through mySAP.com, we are now

optimising our supply chain management via the Internet, allowing dealers to

visit the online product catalogue, place orders and check status, and even view

account information on the web," added Firodia. mySAP.com is an open

collaborative business environment of personalized solutions on demand that

enables companies of all sizes and industries to fully engage their employees,

customers and partners to capitalize upon the new Internet economy.

The Dealer Integration Kiosk provides information on the latest offerings and

options, number of vehicles in production, spare parts available through its

product catalogue, besides placing an order through the catalogue which allows

immediate calculation of prices. The order entry facility also posts a date

depending on availability. Prior to placing the order, dealers can check the

status on availability of vehicles and spare parts through availability to

promise section.

The services available for dealers and their representatives also allows

dealers at the end of the transaction to determine the status of his accounts,

including outstanding payments, cleared items, and can contact the accounts

department directly for any pending actions through the account information

facility. The order status facility gives dispatch dates and times are logged

for real-time status of shipments, and delivery.
