Baidu's new service will diagnose whether your website is China-friendly

Chinese web services company, Baidu has launched a new service which diagnoses your website and tells if it is blocked or not in China, as reported by Nikkei Asian Review. The new service is aimed at Japanese business interested in expanding in China. The service is controlled and owned by the Chinese government that complies with the government controls.

Baidu offers the service in collaboration with LXR, a Tokyo based creator of Chinese-languages websites. LXR evaluates a client's website in China and publishes a report with suggestions on how to improve it. The new service from Baidu can also tell you whether parts of your site are loading slowly or failing to display content. So if a site has an Instagram feed or Google Maps embed, the service can inform businesses where they can update the site to make it more China-friendly.

While, anyone can access the free website diagnosis feature to see if a certain domain is down, for an analysis of how a client's website is performing in China, the service charges are 350,000 yen ($3,090) . The client receives a report in a week or so.
