Bahwan CyberTek to double manpower

BANGALORE: Bhawan CyberTek, the software product and services company, is planning to double its headcount in its offshore development center in Chennai to 500 by June 2005. It is also setting up its own campus in the IT corridor of Chennai with an investment of $5 million to $6 million with a seat capacity of 1500.



"Once we are in our own campus, we would start BPO operations too from India. Presently, we have 300 people employed in our BPO operations in Oman," said SV Sriram, President, Bhawan CyberTek Pvt Ltd.



The IT arm of one of the largest business houses in Oman, the Suhail Bahwan Group, Bhawan CyberTek has also entered the Indian market by launching its software product, Cuecent BPMS, a business process management solution. "The product was fully developed in Chennai with an investment of $ two million," added Sriram.



After being present in India for the past five years, this is the first time the company is launching a software product in the country. It expects to sell to about 100 clients and make approximately $ four million in the first year of the product launch. Cuecent is targeted at large enterprises to simplify its development process.
