Nuke My Device ensures that Amazon Lab126, the research and development company behind the Kindle family of products, can conduct refurbishment and clean testing on of its industry-leading Kindle Fire.

Nuke My Device sanitizes internal SD cards on Android-based products to completely eliminate stored data. Using the app, Amazon Lab126 wipes devices during repeated testing processes, making certain that tests are run without risking contamination from previously stored data. Nuke My Device also enables Amazon Lab126 to remove all previous user data from refurbished products, helping protect consumer information when recycling used devices.

"With today's privacy concerns, wiping data is more important than ever. We're thrilled that Amazon Lab126 is using Nuke My Device in device refurbishment as well as in product testing," commented Ian Matthews, president of Avenger Mobile. "Supporting the work of such an innovative team contributes to the advancement of the entire mobile industry, and we're proud to be a part of that growth."

Launched on Google Play in early 2013 to help consumers protect their personal data when recycling old Android phones and tablets, Nuke My Device completely wipes all data stored on internal SD cards, where Android devices typically save pictures, downloads, documents, and other such personal data.

Traditional factory resets of devices leave traces of data that can be recovered by third parties or can influence device testing. Following National Institute of Standards and Technology guidelines, Nuke My Device ensures that internally stored data on Android phones and tablets is purged entirely by running continuous wipe cycles to eliminate even data stored in active memory.
