Anil Nair, presently President, Avaya GlobalConnect will steer the wheel for Avaya GlobalConnect as the Acting CEO. The company has engaged a recruiting firm to help identify a new CEO.

For the last 11 years, Mehta has been an architect and driver of much of Avaya’s India success. He embarked on his India leadership adventure in 1998.

Together with his team, Mehta’s achievements include catapulting Avaya to a commanding ‘Number one’ market share position in every area of focus—contact center, IP telephony, video conferencing, and voice communication solutions and building an India enterprise that includes operations in 20 cities with nearly 700 employees.

Anil Nair has been with the company since 1997; initially as its sales leader and in later years in the expanded capacity of President.

Much of the growth Avaya has enjoyed in India is a direct result of his efforts and his aggressive, fact-based, collaborative leadership style. He holds an MBA from XIM Bhubaneswar and his Advanced Management Program from ISB—Kellogg Business School, Chicago.

His work experience spans 28 years in Business Automation, IT and Enterprise Communications; much of this in executive leadership positions with the Tata Group of Companies. Anil knows and understands Avaya’s customers, products, and employees.
