MUMBAI: Avance Technologies has launched ‘Avance Spire’, their first

breakthrough in embedded technology. The product addresses the global concern of

recurring expenses for upgradation and replacement of the old computers to run

high-end software applications and operating systems.

Deepak Goyal, Director, Avance Technologies said, “ We are launching Spire at
a time when Total Cost of Ownership of IT infrastructure is a major concern

globally. Spire would result into huge savings in the IT infrastructure and

maintenance expenses as obsolete computers can be reused and perform as per the

current standards.”

With the addition of Spire card to the computers, organizations would have the
freedom to run latest operating systems like MS WIN 2000 Pro/ MS WIN XP/Linux,

etc. on their existing networked computers, be it 386, 486 or Pentium. It also

provides 100 percent virus free environment low maintenance and data security on

the computer networks. The users would have a choice to remove hard disks,

floppy drives, CD drives from the workstations and store the data at the server.

The product is available at a price of Rs 6,000 but as the number of users would
increase, the prices would also come down.
