NEW DELHI: An automobile portal, www.autodarling.com,

one of its kind from eastern India has been launched in Calcutta. According to

the company’s CEO Ashish Beriwala, this is the first automobile portal from

the eastern region. "This is a comprehensive and unique site offering

information about the automobile market in the country," said S S Beriwala,

the chairperson of the company. "The site includes utility features from

the provision of quality auto parts through authorized dealers to other

attractive features like auto racing updates and 3D images of the latest models.

A Power Card facility would discount members on the purchase of cars/two

wheelers/auto parts and accessories and services," added Beriwala.

The new portal provides customer specific information that allows comparison

of prices, test-driven reports, auctioning and even online finance options.

Autodarling.com has tied up with two leading general insurance companies, the

Oriental Insurance Company and New India Assurance. This will allow it to offer

customers online insurance.

The site expects that its tie-ups with car financing leaders like Citibank,

HDFC and Standard Chartered are likely to increase the number of visitors and

buyers to the site. "Further, these will create transparency of financing

within a more structured and reliable framework" said the CEO. The top

brass is expecting a 10 per cent share of the 1,200 to 1,500 new cars sold in

Calcutta. With the rise in popularity of exchanging old cars for new,

autodarling.com will help visitors get the best bid for their used cars through

online auctioning.

Beside all these, the portal offers comparisons between specifications of

inter and intra company models, prices, customer satisfaction index of all car

models, test-drive reports, trial option, professional buying option and after

sales service.
