Using a migration methodology and tool called MagNET, GNet Group delivers the power of .NET to independent software vendors (ISVs) and other developers who face the challenges of maintaining legacy Magic applications.

"To the best of our knowledge, there is no other tool for automated Magic to .NET conversion," said Venkat Kavasseri, CEO of GNet Group. "Our process will help Magic users reduce implementation and support costs and move to a widely adopted technology: Microsoft .NET."

GNet Group offers a live MagNET demonstration that converts complex software code onto the advanced, reliable and flexible .NET platform. For most applications, MagNET projects 75-85 percent automation, leaving the rest to hands-on, custom conversion. Automation at this level provides substantial cost savings and reduces time to market, the two most critical risks of migration.

"MagNET converts a customer's application without any change to the database," adds Kavasseri. "The automated .NET conversion program delivers functionally equivalent code while opening the door to further software advancement."

GNet Group further enhances .NET migrations with technical support training and feature maximization services.

GNet Group is a joint venture between GCI systems, a leading technology solutions company in the United States, and Netpro Technologies, a company incorporated in India specializing in software development on Microsoft's .Net platform.
