Autodesk training center in Mumbai

NEW DELHI: Autodesk Media and Entertainment Division (Autodesk MED) together with systems integrator Aditya Infotech has opened a training facility in Mumbai for 3ds Max 3D software.



Courses will begin in June 2005 and the programs include advanced six-month diploma courses, one-and two-month professional certificate courses and a three-month certificate in 3D Animation and Special Effects, Architecture, as well as individual classes focusing on the applications themselves. The curriculum covers Autodesk MED applications 3ds Max, Combustion and/or Cleaner software along with their related plug-ins and extensions. The Mumbai center will be operated under the supervision of Jinoy Mathew, who will oversee a team of five professional instructors.



"3D animation and visual effects production is thriving in India-not only servicing the Bollywood and local broadcast markets——but also feature film and television markets abroad. Indian effects and animation companies like UTV, Maya Entertainment and Prana have standardized their effects pipelines on Autodesk MED technologies and we are totally committed to ensuring an available, production-ready talent pool to fill the needs of our customers in this market," said Autodesk MED, South East Asia and India regional manager Raman Madan.



"We are very excited to be offering the same Autodesk MED -certified level and standard of training in 3D animation and visual effects that are offered to artists at CTCs in effects hubs ranging from Hollywood and New York to London. Our training center will open new career avenues for youngsters, who want to make a mark in the animation field. It will also be excellent talent pool for Production houses & Advertising agencies," said Aditya Infotech director Rishi Khemka.
