BANGALORE: Autodesk Inc. today announced a partnership with the National Institute of Design (NID), to promote design education in India.
As a part of this initiative, Autodesk has established a ‘Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Digital Innovation’ and a Research Chair for ‘Design Education Innovation’ at NID. Autodesk said in a statement that this partnership also aligns well with the National Design Policy being advocated by the Government of India to promote design education in a quest to achieve global competitive excellence.
Autodesk is providing the National Institute of Design with a grant of about Rs. 1 crore which includes sponsorship of the Chair and research projects, shared cost of setting up the Centre of Excellence and the cost of Autodesk software being offered to the Institute.
