Think about this–when you walk into a shop to buy a mobile phone, the first thing that catches your eye is the attractive-looking phone. All the research, comparing specifications and asking friends goes out of the window. Then, depending on whether you're an impulse buyer or not, you make your decision.
What makes the Shine different is that it's completely made out of steel, and with just a little bit of light, will glint like a polished scalpel does under the operating room lights. With the screen off, the top panel is reflective enough to act as a mirror–no doubt a boon for someone who wants to regularly check his/her appearance.
You get all the usual, a 240 x 320 pixels TFT displaying 262k color, Bluetooth, expandable memory, document viewer for ppt and office documents and a 2 MP camera. A unique feature is the scroll wheel just under the display, which replaces the traditional D-pad. You can use it to scroll up or down in any menu or click it to select. While the scroll itself is convenient, it throws up a problem; the thumb automatically goes to the scroll wheel to slide the screen up, and when it does, you just end up scrolling rather than sliding the screen up which is what you really wanted to do. Overall it's a fashion statement in itself with plenty of features.
