Attack on TRAI is deplorable: AUSPI tells Raja

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Welcoming the recommendations of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India on 'Spectrum Management and Licensing Framework' for restoring level playing field, the Association of Unified Telecom Service Providers of India (AUSPI) has urged the the Government to accept the suggestions with a rational measure.

Terming the recommendations as progressive, well balanced, AUSPI has said recommendations are pro consumer, pro competition and are aimed at bridging the digital divide of the country as allocation of additional spectrum has been linked to meeting the roll out obligations.

In a letter to the Minister of Communication & IT,Thiru A Raja, AUSPI's Secretary General SC Khanna has alleged that the incumbent GSM operators, especially Airtel and Vodafone have transgressed the boundaries of fair comment and have been brow beating the regulator.
