Atre joins Applied Materials

BANGALORE, INDIA: Applied Materials Inc. has appointed Dr Madhusudan V. Atre as the president of Applied Materials India.

Dr Atre will oversee alignment, coordination and execution of all business and operational activities in the region.

Dr Atre most recently served as the vice president and managing director of LSI India operations, part of LSI Corporation. He has also worked with Texas Instruments, Lucent Technologies and Agere Systems.

He was a founding Executive Council member of the Indian Semiconductor Association and has been nominated as the association's leader of the Technology Special Interest Group.
