MUMBAI: Atos Origin India is seeking to multiply its revenues by venturing into other verticals. The company is planning to double its headcount and is also expecting to double its revenues. It is scouting the location for development center in Southern India, the decision of which would be based on customer preference.
Atos Origin MD Uday Gharpure said, "We are getting aggressive both on recruitment and services front. We are already doing well in telecom domain and now the time has come to move to other domains too." He added the company would have an aggressive recruitment drive in the next two years.
Post Sema acquisition, Atos’ revenues could be in triple digits and might cross the Rs 160 crore mark. According to sources, the company generated revenue to the tune of Rs 80 crore last year. It already has a strong presence in booming Indian telecom market with billing solutions offerings with all the major GSM providers as its customers.
Atos Origin recently added managed services to its portfolio wherein it provides infrastructure management and is planning to venture into other verticals like power and petroleum. The company that currently has around 500 people in India is scouting for another location in Southern India. It already has a center in Kolkata. The company expects to increase its headcount to 1,000 by the end of this year, 3,000 people by 2006 and 5,000 by 2008.
