Atos Origin acquires SchlumbergerSema

MUMBAI: Global consulting and IT services company, Atos Origin has acquired SchlumbergerSema. "This acquisition in Asia Pacific has resulted in our ability to expand and strengthen our capabilities in management consulting, systems integration and managed operations. In particular, we’ll bring more differentiated solutions and enhanced value to our clients in the chosen industries," said, Atos Origin Asia Pacific CEO Neoh KC.



According to the company, this acquisition has created Atos Origin a presence in 50 countries, a combined workforce of 50,000 generating annual revenues of over Euro five billion. It has also reinforced company’s strategy of consolidating its global presence in all major European markets, North and Latin America, Africa, Middle East and the Asia Pacific region.



With its newly-extended global footprint, Atos Origin will be positioned to extend its comprehensive consulting and IT services to the company’s multinational client base, in the areas of financial services, discrete manufacturing, process industries, telecom/utilities/media, consumer packaged goods and the public sector.



With this acquisition, Atos Origin assumes the role of Worldwide IT Partner and lead sponsor of the Olympic Games. Atos Origin will be the lead technology integrator of the Olympic Games in Athens 2004, Winter Olympic Games in Turin 2006 and Olympic Games Beijing 2008.
