MARKHAM, Ontario: ATI Technologies Inc., a Canada-based $2.2 company in visualization technologies has announced the Radeon X1800 GTO, the latest in the Radeon X1800 series.
ATI said that the Radeon X1800 GTO with simultaneous support of high definition rendering (HDR) and anti-aliasing (AA)-functionality, would be available from its add-in-board partners by the end of the month at a suggested retail price of $249.
“ATI recognizes that there are gamers at every price point-and the Radeon X1800 GTO is a clear price-performance winner at $249,” said Vijay Sharma, Director, Desktop Discrete Graphics, ATI. “The X1800 GTO is an important addition to the Radeon X1800 series further strengthening the mid-range market and giving users a powerful gaming card with a range of multimedia functions.”
Radeon X1800 GTO has 12 pixel shader processors, a 256-bit GDDR3 memory interface and operates at 500 MHz core and 1000 MHz memory speeds. It is also compatible with Microsoft's next-generation operating system, Windows Vista, scheduled for a 2006 launch.
