According to media reports, Google commemorated its 13th birthday by dedicating itself a birthday doodle. The doodle is similar to what the search engine had in the early 2000s, when Google’s logo emulated Yahoo in adding an exclamation point.
The exact day of the inception of the search engine is debated as Google had filed for incorporation on September 4, 1998 and was established three days later on September 7. But over the years, Google has celebrated September 27 as its birthday.
Initiated by two Stanford University Phd students, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Google is one of the most popular search engines of recent times. It has been estimated that Google runs over one million servers in data centers around the world and processes over one billion search requests every day.
