Asus unveils new range of desktops

BANGALORE, INDIA: Asus, a motherboard maker, has launched new range of desktops in India under its CM and CG Series with models featuring Intel's H61 to Z68 Chipsets.

The lineup includes CM6731, CM6731 (i3), Essentio CM6830, Essentio CG8250 (i7), Essentio CG8250 (i5) and ROG CG8565 desktops.

The CM Series desktops is aimed at casual PC users who don’t have the time or the expertise to build their own rig, while Essentio CM6830 comes with the all-new second generation Intel Core Processors and ultra-fast DDR3 memory for rapid multitasking.

The CG Series is a bullet-proof desktop. The ROG Tytan in the ROG CG8565 series is a fully loaded gaming desktop featuring instant overclocking options. It is inspired by ballistic missile submarines, with each element created exactly according to its purpose: domination over your enemy.

The ROG Turbo Gear instantly shifts between three overclock modes. It increases performance with the optional Intel Core i7 2600K processor, unlocked and overclocked to 4.6 GHz, while the DEFCON indicator shows system readiness with blue and red LED lights.

The Asus XONAR sound card is powered by Dolby Home Theater technologies, and delivers up to 35 times cleaner audio quality (116dB SNR) than most on-board audio (85dB SNR) solutions. The cutting- edge graphics and optional 3D technology combine to create an immersive experience that puts you right in the game.

“Asus ROG Tytan, high-end gaming desktops with advanced options like single button over clocking will be very attractive for buyers interested in hardcore HD gaming experiences supporting up to three displays in 3D,” he added.

Initially Asus’s desktop PCs will be available in tier I and II two cities. The range will be sold with the help of its channel network and some strategic tie ups with LFRs and retail stores.
