Asus Google Nexus 7 tablet sale from June?

Asus, the Taiwanese gadget manufacturer, has hinted at Google Nexus 7 tablet in India at a price point below Rs 19,999.

As per reports quoting Peter Chang, Regional Head, South Asia & Country Manager, System Business Group, Asus India, Asus is waiting to get a go- ahead from Google and may launch may the 7-inch tablet in early second half of 2013.

First showcased in June 2012, the Google Nexus 7 tablet went on sale in US from mid-July.

Google Nexus 7 is powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, which clocks at 1.3 GHz. It comes with 7-inch IPS display screen with a 1280x800 resolution. The other features of the tablet include 1GB of RAM, 1.2 megapixel front camera and 4,325mAh battery.

Google Nexus 7, sourced from other markets, is available on online stores from November 2012 for Rs. 19,999.
