MUMBAI: Astute Systems Technology, a developer and publisher of mobile content, today unveiled its latest offering, ‘Astute Stock Mania,’ based on QUALCOMM’s BREW solution.

Astute Systems said in a statement that the successor to the ‘BSE Portfolio Tracker’ application, ‘Astute Stock Mania’ is a mix of education and entertainment that allows both avid and aspiring investors to experience stock market trading without having to invest real money.

Upon download, the game credits the user with virtual money, which can then be used to trade stocks at their real market value in a simulated business environment.

“We are extremely encouraged by the tremendous recognition we have received for ‘BSE Portfolio Tracker’ and are very confident about the potential of ‘Astute Stock Mania.’ With this application, we hope to take our users’ experience to the next level by offering exciting content that allows them to develop their trading expertise in a virtual environment,” said Vijay Kumar Jain, CEO and founder of Astute Systems Technology.

“The BREW solution has been instrumental in the creation of our large user-interactive applications, such as ‘Astute Stock Mania,’ as its efficient architecture and scalability has enabled us to provide engaging content that meets the dynamic needs of the wireless marketplace.”

Rajnikant Patel, managing director and CEO, Bombay Stock Exchange, said, “Astute Stock Mania’ will be of interest to both seasoned as well as amateur investors who are eager to interact with the real stock market environment to refine their trading skills.”
