Ashok Santhanam to head Bristlecone

MUMBAI: Bristlecone,

a global business process and enterprise technology consulting firm, today

announced the appointment of Ashok Santhanam as its new president and chief

executive officer.






Santhanam takes over from Padman Ramankutty, a co-founder of the original
Bristlecone who continued as CEO after its acquisition by Mahindra &

Mahindra Limited in 2004, who resigned to pursue entrepreneurial interests.






Santhanam has over 25 years experience leading technology product and service
businesses. Most recently, he was senior vice president, Worldwide Field

Operations at Epiphany. Before Epiphany, Santhanam was managing director of

Santhanam Consulting, providing strategy consulting services to clients in the

enterprise IT, technology services and technology-enabled services sectors.

During this period, he served on the board of Bristlecone predecessor Mahindra

Consulting Inc., introduced Bristlecone to Mahindra and advised Mahindra on its

acquisition of Bristlecone.






Earlier, Santhanam was founder, CEO and chairman of Inventa Technologies, a
successful and fast-growing provider of fixed price/fixed time B2B e-commerce

services to large corporate clients. Under his leadership, Inventa grew to $60

million in annualized revenues and attracted financing from premier Silicon

Valley venture capital firms. Santhanam also founded two other services

companies, including Ventura Data Systems, an early pioneer in offshore product

development services and Challenger Systems, a successful provider of

private-label implementation services to software companies which was acquired

by vMoksha Technologies in 2002.






He received an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School and a B.Tech.
degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
