Aricent receives Level 5 certification

MUMBAI, INDIA: Aricent, a provider in IT services, announced on Wednesday that it has been appraised at Maturity Level 5, the highest maturity level by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) process improvement framework.

This achievement recognizes Aricent for best-in-class processes related to design, development and maintenance of software and for providing the best user experiences for their customers, said a press release.

"Aricent software is powering many of the world's finest communications infrastructure, devices and service offerings. For our customers it is imperative that we deliver innovative high-quality software in a reliable, timely and consistent manner, ” said, R. Sathyavageeswaran, assistant vice president of Quality, Aricent.

He added that by achieving CMMI Maturity Level 5 they have placed the company amongst the leading software design and development provider and it has also significantly enhanced their capability to deliver on-time,error free products and solutions to their customers.

The standard CMMI appraisal method for process improvement (SCAMPI-A) appraisal was conducted over a range of Aricent business units.

The appraisal team was led by Rajesh Naik, consulting partner at the Quality Assurance Institute (QAI India), and the results were announced after the SEI completed its audit process on the appraisal results, the release added.

"As the lead appraiser for the CMMI(r) SCAMPI-A appraisal, I had an opportunity to thoroughly examine Aricent's software design, development and maintenance process in action," said Naik.

"I can say with full confidence that Aricent has the best-in-the-world processes for managing and executing software design and development,” he added.
