Aricent achieves CMMI level 5 certification

BANGALORE, INDIA: Aricent, a global innovation, technology and services company, today announced that it has been appraised at Maturity Level 5, the highest maturity level of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) process improvement framework.

This achievement recognizes Aricent for best-in-class processes related to design, development and maintenance of software that enables the world’s leading communications manufacturers and services providers to provide the best user experiences for their customers.

By reaching the highest maturity level of the CMMI framework (version 1.2), Aricent now joins a worldwide elite group of just 50 companies that meet the highest quality standards of software built to power a broad range of industries including communications.

The Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI-A) appraisal was conducted over a range of Aricent business units. The appraisal team was led by Rajesh Naik, Consulting Partner at the Quality Assurance Institute (QAI India), and the results were announced after the SEI completed its audit process on the appraisal results. 

“As the lead appraiser for the CMMI SCAMPI-A appraisal, I had an opportunity to thoroughly examine Aricent’s software design, development and maintenance process in action,” said Naik. “I can say with full confidence that Aricent has the best-in-the-world processes for managing and executing software design and development. The use of statistical techniques and process performance models to manage projects gives Aricent an edge over its nearest competitors.”
