Arexera to expand in Pune

PUNE: Arexera Information Technologies GmbH (AIT GmbH), the wholly owned subsidiary of Aftek Infosys, is focusing on Pune as the center for having its prime research and development facility in the coming months.

The R&D center would be housed at Hinjewadi.

Addressing a press conference here, Simon Khosla, COO of AIT GmbH said that the Indian version of the search engine Seekport would be launched in India by the end of this calendar year.

It is the only search engine that caters to the non-English speaking people with region specific customized information through 126 million indexed pages. He said that due to networking of rural villages to district headquarters through communication kiosks, Seekport would play a major role in this area.

For this purpose, Arexera is looking out for strategic partners and is in the process of finalizing business plans.

Further he added that working on the Indian version of Seekport is challenging and they are working with CDAC for the Indian language version.
