“In real world, a lot of architecture designs are built looking at the enterprise needs like high availability, scalability, reliability, security and management. Security for example is a very important aspect for the enterprises like banks, healthcare, and financial businesses,” Brunozzi pointed out.

He talked about the various solution available with Amazon web services like availability zone, auto scaling, replication, encryption, console and cloud watch.

Giving a small lesson on how to design for cloud architecture, Brunozzi covered topics such as designing for failure, loosely coupled system, design for dynamism, security, physical constraints, storage options and AWS community and partners.

“The great wall of china was built to stop the Mongolian evaders, but also had the logic that if the Mongolians managed to come in and steal, they would face problems in crossing the wall back while receding. And the Chinese army will get them down there,” he said.

Brunozzi suggested that designers need to deploy Internet applications, develop and test, host marketing campaign, quicken the time to market, for new opportunities, look at the unpredictable processes, large scale analysis, use design for non-mission critical application.
