BANGALORE: IT Training major, Aptech Computer Education, has entered into a ‘Workforce Development Program (WDP) Agreement’ with Oracle India, which licenses select Aptech centers to offer courses on Oracle9i infrastructure software. These courses prepare students to appear for Oracle Database Administrator Certification Examinations.

Select Aptech centers will offer training for four Oracle exams leading to Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) and Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certifications. These include introduction to Oracle9i: SQL, Oracle9i Database Administration Fundamentals — I, Oracle9i Database Administration Fundamentals — II, and Oracle9i Database Performance Tuning.

Says Sudhir Mathur, Senior Vice-President & Head, Global Marketing, Aptech, "Oracle is undoubtedly the number one leader in database management, with a large installed based of nearly 200,000 technology customers globally, a significant number in the Fortune 100 companies. With its wide usage across industries, there is an ever-increasing demand for Oracle professionals. To enable Aptech students to garner the best jobs in the industry, Aptech with its years of expertise is offering the most sought after course in Oracle9i Database Administration to narrow the demand-supply gap of trained Oracle professionals in the industry."

On completion of each course, the participant will receive a participation certificate jointly signed by Oracle and Aptech. On completion of the first two courses, the participant can appear for the exam and become an Oracle9i Certified Associate. On completion of all four courses, participants become an Oracle9i certified professional, if they successfully clear the exams.
