The quiz combines an online preliminary round spanning 10 days and eventually

culminating with the mega off-line ground event in Mumbai. The top two

contestants in the online quiz from the four zones will be flown down to Mumbai

for the final event, on September 29, 2001.

Aptech Computer Education senior vice president and divisional head

Kishansinh Gohil said, "During the recent '2 million scholarship program'

launched by Aptech in alliance with Rediff.com, we received an overwhelming

response with over 50,000 enquiry registrations in just 45 days."

Gohil added that they would cover 300 cities with participation from over two

lakh students. Students participating online on Rediff.com from September 12-22

will be evaluated and accordingly graded for selection. The online quiz consists

of 20 rapid-fire questions, covering a range of subjects. Each contestant would

get 7.5 minutes to answer these. The final two winners would be awarded a

personal computer each, while audio cassettes would be given away each day

through a lucky draw.
