Aptech gets recognition from Project Management Institute (PMI) USA

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Aptech Limited, the leading global learning solutions provider, has been conferred the Global Registered Education Provider (R.E.P) status by Project Management Institute (PMI). Aptech will now be offering PMI recognized project management training and professional service to project management professionals (PMP) across the globe. Aptech plans to train 5000 PMPs during 2008.

The PMI R.E.P. program is recognized as the premier comprehensive continuing education program related to the field of project management. Organisations worldwide are wanting to train & certify their Project Mangers to enhance customer experience and satisfaction. According to a CertCities.com 2006 annual reader survey, the Project Management Professional credential has been ranked among the “10 Hottest IT Certifications” for the third consecutive year among IT professionals . Certification Magazine’s annual salary survey for 2006 states that Project Management Professional credential holders earned the highest salaries amongst all IT workers who hold professional certifications.

Aptech will be offering the course in two modes, Instructor Led Training (ILT) and Distance Learning Mode. With it’s PMP Certified project managers & qualified trainers, Aptech extends its support and services to those seeking PMP certifications. The course will span over a period of 5 days, which will be followed by an internal assessment. On successful completion, the participant will be granted 35 PDUs required by PMI for the PMP certification. The ILT course material includes Student handbooks and student workbooks with practice questions. The onsite training comprises of interactive and mock sessions with group exercises. PMI requires its REP to meet several stringent criteria to qualify as a Global R.E.P, such as Evidence of quality product design, delivery and content that is inline with PMI global standards. Evidence of facilitator qualifications appropriate to topics taught besides other organizational requirements.
