Apptix's new VP to market enterprise-class solns

HERNDON, US: Apptix, the premiere provider of on-demand business communications solutions for Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs), has announced the appointment of Maysoon Al-Hasso as the Vice President of Marketing, reporting directly to company CEO Amir Hudda.

With more than 15 years of experience in business management and high technology marketing, Al-Hasso will be responsible for Apptix’s corporate marketing and product management functions. With a focus on brand development and new market penetration, she will lead the company’s marketing efforts as Apptix builds on its leadership position in Hosted Exchange and delivers a comprehensive set of business communications solutions and services for SMBs.

“The addition of Maysoon to Apptix is key to our ability to pursue our company’s growth strategy. Having achieved dominance in Hosted Exchange with 25 percent market share in North America, our next step is to offer our SMB customers a complete set of hosted business communications services including VoIP and Mobile Instant Messaging solutions,” said Amir Hudda. “The SMB market is seeking enterprise-class business communications solutions - we plan to meet this growing demand with a full complement of reliable and cost-effective business communications services. Prior to joining Apptix, Al-Hasso provided strategic marketing consulting services to small, medium and large technology companies, from software start-up’s to AOL. She has led marketing organizations at several enterprise software companies, including Sterling Software and Texas Instruments Software. Most recently, she served as a Vice President at Computer Associates, driving a variety of functions including Product Marketing, Public Affairs and Business Strategy & Communications. Al-Hasso also has deep international experience having built and driven marketing organizations in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from the University of Manchester in England.
