The appointment came as ASK continued to expand its research-led investment approach amid growing investor demand for differentiated equity strategies across market cycles.

Strengthening the Investment Bench

Nigam brought over two decades of experience in portfolio management and equity research across global and domestic asset management firms. Over his career, he managed a wide range of equity strategies, including large-cap, multi-cap, ESG, infrastructure, tax-saving, mid-cap, and bespoke PMS mandates.

His prior roles included senior leadership positions at Invesco AMC and BNP Paribas Investment Partners, where he contributed to building structured investment processes and delivering consistent outcomes for investors.

At ASK Investment Managers, Nigam was expected to work closely with the leadership team as the firm deepened its equity offerings and strengthened its long-term investment framework.

Equity Platform in Expansion Mode

ASK said the leadership addition reflected its intent to build depth across investment decision-making and research as it scaled its equity franchise.

George Heber Joseph, CIO & CEO (Equity), ASK Investment Managers, said, “Amit’s depth of market understanding, long-term performance track record, and his ability to lead investment teams make him a strong addition to our investment organisation. As ASK continues to expand its equity franchise and strengthen its research-driven philosophy, his expertise will play a critical role in delivering sustained value for our clients.”

The firm has been positioning its equity platform around disciplined research, portfolio construction, and long-term capital appreciation, rather than short-term market timing.

Research-Led Investment Philosophy

Nigam said ASK’s investment culture aligned closely with his own approach to portfolio management.

Amit Nigam, Deputy CIO, ASK Investment Managers, said, “ASK represents a rigorous, research-led investment culture that aligns strongly with my own investment philosophy. I look forward to partnering with the leadership team to deepen the product suite, enhance research capabilities, and contribute meaningfully to ASK’s mission of long-term wealth creation for its clients.”

Before joining ASK, Nigam served as Fund Manager – Mutual Funds at Invesco Asset Management, where he managed diversified mandates aggregating approximately ₹10,000 crore.

Nigam’s academic background included a PGDM from IIM Indore and a B.E. from the University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee). His appointment underscored ASK’s strategy of pairing institutional-scale investment experience with a disciplined, research-first approach as the firm navigated increasingly complex equity markets.
