NEW DELHI: To bring together the base of Mac OS audiences along the entire
spectrum of applications, Apple Computers has showcased its products at the
Apple expo that was held here recently.
The exposition was also used for the launch the firm's latest product, the
G4-400/500 Titanium notebook. It also showcased Apple Computer's other products
including the notebooks- iBook and PowerBook, desktops- iMac, Power Mac G4 and
Power Mac G4 cube.
The newly launched Titanium G4 has a 15.2" wide screen, one-inch
thickness and weighs only 5.3 pounds. The notebook priced at Rs 1.8 lakh has two
other important unique features, a higher processing power than the PIII 800
making it the fastest notebook available in the market and a slot loading DVD-ROM.
The company has also incorporated different softwares such as 'iMovie', a
video-editing package, and 'itunes,' which can copy songs from CD and convert
them to the MP3 format, in its desktops and notebooks. Apple Computer
International (marketing manager) Parminder Singh said "The purpose of the
expo was to bring together the base of Mac OS audiences in creative services,
education, application development, entertainment, small office/home office and
Internet based environment."
Apple Computer International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Apple Computers
Inc, has set up its regional offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai.
