Apple seeks 12PB of storage for iTunes from Isilon

BANGALORE, INDIA: iPhone-maker Apple has ordered additional 12 petabyte of storage capacity from Isilon Systems to host video content on its iTunes, as per sources from EMC, reports Storagenewsletter.com. As per the site, this could make Apple, Isilon's largest customer so far.

The reports also says that Isilon will launch a new line of enhanced Isilon OneFS 6.5 operating system - integrated with Tivoli Storage Manager on April 11.
