Apple has rolled out iOS 11.3 for all its iPhone and iPad users. iOS 11.3 comes with some new features including improved battery health, new Animoji characters for iPhone X, improved ARKit for more advanced augmented reality, and the ability to turn off processor throttling for iPhones with ageing batteries inside.

iOS 11.3 has added features to show the battery health of any iPhone or iPad and to recommend if a battery needs to be serviced. The new update has a “Health Records” feature that lets patients select from several health institutions to access medical information.

Apple has also introduced four new Animoji characters to bring iPhone X users’ expressions to life. The new characters that will be joining the existing lineup are- lion, bear, dragon and skull. iOS 11.3 and macOS 10.13.4 further bring updated data and privacy information that makes it easier than ever for users to understand how their personal data may be used.

Then there is Business Chat, a new way for users to communicate directly with businesses using the Messages app on iPhone and iPad. The app will be available in beta in the US and top businesses in retail, finance and hospitality will begin rolling out this new messaging feature for customers. Apple Music will now stream music videos uninterrupted by ads.

Apple’s iOS 11.3 update will be available for download in the ‘Software Update’ section on iOS settings.
