Apple to offer printers with iMacs

BANGALORE: As part of its fresh marketing effort, Apple

Computer International has tied up with Hewlett Packard to bundle its iMacs with HP

printers. The iMatch Program will offer HP printers the colours of which will match that

of the iMac's which the customer decides to buy.

According to Apple, the iMatch Program will feature HP

DJ880C printers, in iMacs matching colors, bundled together with iMac as a special offer.

"Consumers now have a better advantage. iMac 333MHz and a printer, both in the same

matching color, bundled together at a very special price", said Apple Computer

International Pvt. Ltd. Managing Director Naren Ayyar. The total cost of the offer will be

Rs 92,000, exlusive of the local taxes.

The iMatch Program follows 'Test Byte The Apple' ­ Apple's

program for the home segment; enabling consumers to take home iMac and use it for a period

of seven days at no extra cost. iMac, the Internet-age computer right out of the box, is

currently available in four new colors (Strawberry, Lime, Grape and Blueberry).

The offers under the iMatch Program, which will be launched

on  Monday, August 16, will be available through all Apple Authorized Resellers,

at all new iMac retail outlets in Mumbai and New Delhi.
