The new app is pretty simple to use and features a page that displays the time of the upcoming Apple Event in one’s local time zone. One can also watch previous product announcements made over the past years.

The launch of Apple Events on the App Store is a change for the company, as previously the app would automatically appear on second- and third-generation Apple TV units before a media event. However, these devices lacked an adhered App Store, making it difficult for users to opt in and download the app.

Apple’s March 21st keynote is being eagerly anticipated by all, where the company is expected to unveil a new 4-inch iPhone SE that packs the same processor as the iPhone 6s but a smaller screen like 5s. A new 9.7-inch iPad Pro is also expected to adopt features from the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, including a four-speaker design, a Smart Connector for connecting accessories, and display improvements for Apple Pencil support. Some new Apple Watch hardware is expected to make an appearance too.

The live stream will also be available on Macs and iOS devices through Apple's event website. iOS 7 or OS X 10.8.5 with Safari 6.0.5. Apple Events for tvOS is a free download, available in the tvOS App Store's "News" category, where the presentation will be transmitted via Apple's HTTP Live streaming technology.
