The first Apple Event of 2021 is here! In a recent goof-up, Apple's Siri had accidentally leaked about an upcoming event on April 20. After this goof up, the company has made it official; it will host its Spring Loaded event on April 20. This will be its biggest launch event after its November 2020 event - One More Thing.
As always, the company hasn't revealed anything about the event, leaving users with massive guesswork. Thus, cumulating all the reports available online, and peeping into Apple, here's what the company may announce in the event ahead of WWDC 2021.
1. New iPads
There are extensive rumours that Apple will launch new iPad Pro models in 2021. A source from the company has stated that the models are expected with a mini-LED display in a 12.9-inch variant. According to several reports though, the iPad could just have a more powerful processor with the same design from existing iPads. In an answer to a pestering question, Apple could use its M1 chips (from MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro) for its iPads.
2. AirTags
The company has also thrown a hint at its AirTags in the past, well, two years exactly. Perhaps, we might be a third-time-lucky case. The item tracker accessory, AirTag is a Bluetooth-based device that users can use to track items like suitcases, keys, etc. The Tile is a long-time competitor to AirTag and has been on the market for very long.
3. AirPods
It is expected that the AirPods will eventually get the AirPods Pro-kind design with shorter stems and replaceable ear tips, reports News18.
4. Apple TV
A lot of reports also suggest the next-in-line Apple TV that all have eyes on. Before this, no Apple event had been rumoured to talk about Apple TV and its upgrades. This could be one of those times when Apple looks at its TV market position.
5. Apple Car
Although Apple is now known to make any forward-moving announcements on products in development, the company may have an announcement to make on this Apple Event. The update that Apple Car might roll out by 2025 came out between its last Apple Event and now. The least we can expect is that the company rolls out a name for its self-driving vehicle in the event.
