BANGALORE: Chennai-based networking and hardware company, Apcom Computers Ltd., has launched the Dax DX-200W, a 100 Mbps ethernet adapter, under its Dax Ethernet range.
According to a statement, the adapter provides the network with automatic selection between different speeds, and provides a throughput of up to 20 Mbps and 200 Mbps under full duplex mode. The adapter also supports wake-on-LAN (WOL), which facilitates virus scans and software upgrades for more effective network supervision and time management. According to Apcom director Deepak Mirza, "We have given the Indian user access to turn on a LAN or WAN, to turn on a desktop PC from a remote location''.
