According to the company release, expanding the building block approach beyond power, InfraStruXure integrates the rack, cooling, power, management and services that comprise NCPI into an open, adaptable and integrated solution.

In 2002, APC had introduced the PowerStruXure architecture, which according to the company helped eliminate complex power installations with modular, pre-engineered building blocks that integrated essential power and management components in a flexible, easy to use and service package.

Building on this foundation, APC has introduced the next evolution of the PowerStruXure architecture: InfraStruXure. According to the company, InfraStruXure enables IT managers to select a variety of standardized components to create a customized solution.
