BANGALORE: American Power Conversion (APC) will continue to be the power protection vendor under Microsoft’s newly expanded Microsoft Partner Solution Center (MPSC), a facility designed to bring together world-class technology companies dedicated to the rapid development of secure, end-to-end network solutions, which are necessary to maintain a competitive advantage in today’s marketplace. APC has participated as a power protection provider since 1998.

The MPSC is a unique multi-vendor environment that brings together the combined expertise, resources, and best-of-breed products for building, testing, designing and documenting end-to-end network solutions focusing on key new service provider opportunities such as application hosting, broadband/TV services, voice-over IP, wireless and commerce. APC’s highly available solutions, which are ideally suited for this customer segment, are integrated throughout the center. "APC offers a number of scalable solutions that are ideal for companies that cannot afford to have their core business processes brought down by power disruptions," said Microsoft’s Network Solutions Group director Fredrik Winsnes.

"The MPSC is a terrific tool for Microsoft customers, particularly service providers, to ‘kick the tires’ of a number of potential network configurations utilizing highly available solutions from several leading IT vendors," said Peter Rumsey, vice president of APC’s Enterprise Systems Group. "We are pleased that our suite of power protection solutions, which includes the patented technologies found in Silcon and Symmetra, are part of the newly expanded MPSC to demonstrate the critical role that power protection plays in helping to obtain the highest levels of system availability."
