HYDERABAD: Apalya Technologies, a provider of mobile TV services, may soon have its platform set inside CDMA handsets if its ongoing talks with various manufacturers draw towards a desired result.

According to B Vamshi Reddy, co-founder and director of Apalya, the company is working with CDMA manufacturers to embed its application in the handsets.

Additionally, the Hyderabad-based company is looking to focus on the Linux platform. Innovation of features, added Reddy, would be the company’s focus in the future. “We are looking at innovations based on devices and the platform. We would constantly innovate on devices while making sure it supports all the platforms.’’

At the moment Apalya is trying to drive its subscriber base with a target to achieve a figure of three lakh across all the operators.

Reddy also revealed that the company is in the process of working out other deals in the next two to three months. “We will be launching it with almost all the leading operators,’’ said Reddy.

Apalya, currently funded by Reddy’s friends, is also in talks to raise funds in order to propel its infrastructure and management team.

“We would be building our management team properly. The fund would basically go for research and also on the content side,’’ said Reddy.

Reddy added that the company would continue to run small but the headcount would be doubled the size in the next one year.

“We are well positioned to be the leader in this space. I am sure we will be able to build a sustainable business model,’’ opined Reddy.

Apalya is targeting revenue of Rs. 20 crore in the next years, said Reddy.
