Growth in third-generation (3G) penetration, upswings in mobile broadband subscribers' base with affordable devices enabled 3G and 4G network, and rising online distribution of music, films, TV shows, books, newspapers, and video games are expected to be the major drivers of the industry.

APAC is expected to lead the industry over 2013-2018. New technological advancement, government investment in infrastructure, and economic growth are expected to drive the market.

Large population and low mobile broadband penetration offers business opportunities, increasing trust on online data in rural areas, and surging entertainment and media industry are likely to drive the growth in APAC and rest of world region. These regions were the fastest growing region during last five year and are expected to drive growth over the next five years.
