Delivering the opening address of the two-day Product Enclave and Expo 2009 by NASSCOM here today, Mittal said that the economy of APAC, including Japan, will cross that of Europe. Today IT spend in SMBs is more than that of Fortune 500 companies, he added.

"Going forward larger growth will come from unchartered areas. It can be geographies, verticals such as SMB and healthcare. Today IT spend in SMBs is more than that of Fortune 500 companies” said Mittal.

He also observed that we should today aim at not meeting demand but being a catalyst. The NASSCOM president said that this time there are 1000 registrations for the conclave, which is three times larger than last year.
