The products include iC Solutions (CRM), designed specifically to manage the

entire sales cycle, including prospecting, product configuration, cost

estimating, bid/proposal development, work breakdown, structure planning and

MANAGE: Enterprise, a fully functional ERP for mid-sized manufacturers and

distributors.

"The ASP model will certainly help in leveling the playing field for the

SMEs. We had commissioned International Data Corporation to do a study on the

scope for adopting ASPs in India. It was found that about 50 per cent of the

SMEs in Mumbai were preferred subscribing to an ASP as against 15 per cent in

Kolkatta and 10 per cent in Chennai," said Antarix e Applications president

and CEO Pawan Kumar.

Antarix will do the hosting, networking and services for the customers for a

hosting fee. By paying a monthly fee, customers can access cost-effective

solutions without incurring up-front cost in procuring the solutions or

upgrading hardware to match the solution requirements.

The company has tied up with international technology leaders for systems

integration, networking requirements and global connectivity. "We are

expecting to generate about Rs 5 crore within a year with this initiative,"

Pawan Kumar added. Antarix would get a 75 per cent share of the revenue

generated, while the Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) would get 25 percent of

the revenue.

"By partnering with Antarix, we will hope to a market presence in India.

We will launch other world-class products in partnership with Antarix in the

coming years," said the Cincom founder and president Thomas M Nies.
