The opening of the office allows Anritsu to expand its business in India and to consolidate the company's position in communications test and measurement solutions market. With the opening, Anritsu now has offices in 17 countries, including the United States and Japan.

Anritsu opened the Bangalore office to better serve the growing mobile communications market in India, which is one of four countries that comprise the BRIC quartet of developing economies.

India, along with Brazil, Russia, and China, is expected to achieve major economic growth. Its mobile subscribers have reached more than 50 million in this year, according to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. Anritsu already has regional offices in Brazil, Russia, and China.

Anritsu said in a press release that many of the leading telecommunications companies already in the Indian market now have easier access to its wireless test solutions that can be used during development, manufacturing, deployment, installation, and maintenance.

Among the products sold through the Bangalore office will be test solutions developed and manufactured in Anritsu's Morgan Hill, CA, facility.
