Another Infoscion seeks greener pastures?

BANGALORE: It seems top executives at Infosys are looking for greener pastures. In the last 40 days, two top executives have left the Indian IT giant.

Now market is rife with speculation that Girish Vaidya, head, Banking Division, and vice president of Infosys Technologies, has put in his papers.

Earlier, Hema Ravichander, HR head of the company, quit Infosys to start her own consulting firm. Two weeks ago, Basab Pradhan, head of sales, resigned, to start his own venture.

Talking to CIOL, an Infosys spokesperson denied that Vaidya is quitting. “He is very much with us,” she said.

However, Vaidya was not immediately available for comment.

Before joining Infosys in January 1999, Vaidya was with ANZ Grindlays Bank for 24 years, where he handled diverse functions including operations, foreign exchange dealing, corporate account management, implementation of computer systems and strategic planning. He has worked in places such as India, Singapore, London and

Melbourne.

In the mid-eighties, he helped develop the Management Information System for ANZ Grindlays, and subsequently headed the bank's technology function in South Asia.
