Earlier, the event was scheduled to be held from August 13 to 16. However, the event was postponed due to the spread swine flu epidemic. Now it will be a three-day event instead of running four days.

“As organizers, we (TASI) are overwhelmed at the support and encouragement we received from industry professionals, event supporters and most of all from the participants in supporting our decision to temporarily postpone the festival,” TASI said in a statement.

TASI is a non-profit trust registered with the Government of India and works in creating awareness of the animation medium and allied arts in India. It was formed by a group of 8-10 animation industry experts in 2001and today it has about 2000 members that includes young animation students, animators, animation experts, technicians along with animation studios, software and technology companies.
